Corey Oates’ dream of bringing the fun back to footy is officially coming to life, and he’s getting a little help from one of Queensland’s finest.

After announcing his plan to launch “Corey’s Little League” on the show, Corey was joined this morning by former Maroons and Broncos legend Matt Gillett, who’s now working with Former Origin Greats (FOGS). The not-for-profit group supports grassroots rugby league, and they’re jumping on board to help bring Corey’s vision to life.

The goal? To build two mixed under-12 Oz Tag teams, Northside vs Southside, and give kids from all backgrounds a chance to get involved, no matter their experience level.

Gillett, now part of FOGS’ youth and education programs, said the org is all in on supporting Corey’s league, helping connect with junior clubs and making sure the games have everything they need, from uniforms to support behind the scenes.

If your child is 11 or 12 and keen to join the fun, you can register now here!

This one’s all about community, passion, and just having a go!
